Dr Chris Kammer D.D.S., Lifetime Family Dentistry, Middleton, WI |

I’ve been using the KaVo HealOzone for almost 5 years now and the new Lime Essentials CMU3 ozone unit is so-o-o-o much easier to use since you aren’t required to create a seal on the tooth. For example now you can bathe teeth with ozone anywhere throughout the mouth. Yesterday I desensitized the margins of a crown in 1 minute. Patient’s pain went from an "8" and immediately down to a zero after only 60 seconds of ozone!

I figure at the Center For Cosmetic Dentistry in Madison, we have cut over 1000 fewer holes in teeth by treating conservatively with the ozone. Ozone is practically 3000 times more powerful of a bacteria-killing disinfectant than bleach! It is a wonderful tool to have at your side. Also treats perio, cold sores, supercharges your whitening, and so much more. In my first 6 months, I ozoned 201 teeth at $42 each for $9244. Last year we ozoned 639 teeth, placed Fugi triage on 208 of those and grossed $36,443 on those services alone. My first family that came to me because of ozone has spent $35,000 to date!

With ozone we move our profession forward in the way that serves our patients the best but is counter to all the dental school training we have received.

I love it! There is never any patient buyer’s remorse with ozone. In fact quite the opposite, patients love the opportunity for you to try something instead of the drill. They will become big believers in your progressiveness and your minimally invasive ways. Ozone is here to stay and if there is anything I can do to help get Doctors on board with this, I’d be happy to do it. Ask them to contact me any time at .

I have been utilizing the CMU3 for over 4 years, it fits perfectly into my philosophy of providing minimally invasive dentistry and my passion for high tech equipment. The CMU3 has also added to my tool chest of treatment options and benefitted the outcomes of other procedures I do translating into more income. The word of mouth referrals alone have made the investment worth it. It’s an adjunctive piece of equipment that all types of practices can utilize from pedo to endo to perio and as a new modality to treat stubborn dental diseases. I recommend it to everyone!

Ozone therapy represents a major paradigm shift in the way we treat dental decay and periodontal disease, This is the future. It is by far the most promising therapeutic dental technology currently on the market. Ozone therapy has been in use in Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan and several other countries since 2001 and there is reliable, comprehensive, evidence-based research that supports this remarkable treatment modality.

A few of you with gradually whitening hair may remember the feeling you had when decayed or periodontally involved teeth would eventually fail despite your best efforts to save them. Then implant dentistry came along and there was a paradigm shift in dentistry. We no longer had to attempt to save teeth with questionable prognoses. Implant dentistry allowed us to remove questionable teeth and place sound, predictable restorations. If you were like me, it took a while to adjust, but what a relief it was to have something to fall back on when I could not control decay or periodontal disease.

When we practice dentistry, we are removing tooth structure to remove decay and removing soft tissue and bone to control periodontal disease. Improvements in periodontal therapy have occurred over the years with developments such as periodontal laser therapy and the various soft tissue management systems. Caries control has also improved with the advent of products such as MI Paste, xylitol, fluoride vanish, the CarifreeSystem. Despite all these advancements, patients still have problems with recurrent caries and chronic periodontal disease.

In September of 2007, I was introduced to ozone therapy for dentistry by Dr. Chris Kammer of Middleton, WI. He was hosting Dr. Julian Holmes, one of the leading researchers in dental ozone therapy. Simply put, he had an ozone producing machine designed for dentistry that killed the bugs that caused caries and periodontal disease. I bought an ozone unit and started practicing ozone dentistry. Dr. Julian took me under his wing and trained me and my team. Drs. Chris Kammer and Bill Domb were also there for support and questions.

In less than two years, the paradigm has shifted again. We can now be true preventive dental specialists. Ozone therapy really works! When treating caries, it basically reverses the decay process by arresting the caries and allowing for predictable remineralization of tooth structure. This allows me to do more minimally invasive treatments. I also use ozone therapy to control periodontal pockets, treat soft tissue ulcers/lesions, bleach teeth, control bleeding, reduce sensitivity, and much more. Ozone will kill bacteria, viruses, and spores without using antibiotics or harsh chemicals. Drug resistance to bacteria or viruses will not develop and it causes no chemical damage to instruments or latent effects to our patients or team members.

Our patients love it. They are informed that it is not FDA approved at this time and that it is not a covered benefit through most insurance. Most patients are able to see the benefit of this treatment and are willing to pay out of pocket. Many are even willing to drive great distances to receive this treatment. Both our patients and my team are amazed every day, with the results. I used to ask "What should I use it for?" Now the question is "When should I not use it?"

I have tested ozone for almost 2 years, and it is now time to share it with you. I am currently using an ozone machine manufactured by Lime Essentials.

Please feel free to give me a call if you have questions regarding my experience using this amazing technology.

Dr. David L. Dockham, D.D.S., P.C., Stanton, MI |

Ozone has become an integral part of my everyday practicing of general dentistry from fillings (decay remineralization), tooth whitening, gum treatments, root canals, implant placement, oral surgery, resolving biofilm issues in the dental units, air disinfection and much more. I do not know how that I could ever practice without the use of ozone in my dental practice. This technology is so simple and cost effective that it will pay for itself within the first 6 months of use.

Dr. Goran Kralj D.D.S., ORA Dental Studio, Chicago, IL

Until ozone therapy was introduced to dentistry, the only way to eradicate decay causing bacteria from teeth was by removing the infected tooth structure with drills, air abrasion, or lasers. Now, in the early stages of tooth decay, the CMU3 Ozone device can be utilized without any anesthetic, removal of tooth structure, or discomfort.

Dr Florian Braich D.D.S., West Palm Beach, FL

I explained to other dentists the multiple uses of the CMU3 which I'm utilizing everyday now in my office; indicating my fee of $65 per one unit which is equivalent to 60 seconds. It was interesting to see his reaction when confronted with the following simple calculation: Considering the present cost of the CMU3 at $15,700.00, before discounts or show specials, of the CMU3 and the initial load of 200 hours, I demonstrated to him that multiplying 200 hours x 60 min x $65 the calculation revealed a total of $780,000.00. I do believe that this simple calculation should be introduced and utilized as often as possible in marketing the machine. The entire dental industry and medical as well when presenting a technology will immediately refer to the monetary return from the initial investment. This is when the dentist realizes the enormous potential of his relatively small investment.
